Paris, 1925. Les Années 25. A style of visual arts, architecture and design that appeared right before de World War I. It became popular in the 1920s and 1930s and influenced in the design of buildings, furniture, jewelry, fashion, cars, movie theaters and everyday objects. Art Deco, Arts Décoratifs, combine several modernist styles, sometimes contradictory to each other with the aim to be modern, with fine craftsmanship and rich materials.

It became one of the first truly international architectural styles.

Paris, 2016. DimoreStudio. In a quiet street in the heart of the vibrant 2nd district and facing the Opera Comique, Hotel Boutique Saint-Marc, its 25 rooms and master-suite invite you to a journey through eras and styles by the elegant and precise selection of contemporary and vintage furniture along a very Dimore layout.

From a 1971 manor of Duke of Choiseul to the historical newspaper’s Le National headquarters. Eventually taken over a office building and, prior to the restoration, turned into the Italian restaurant Le Poccardi. Five-storey building with a deep historical load that got enhanced by the italian intervention which took almost two years: marble, velvet, black and gold brass geometry. DimoreStudio has a strong identity and is definitely inspired by Art Deco, vintage styles with high allure. The design company worked with amazing materials and details.

The 25 rooms have been designed and conceived as if they were private apartments, an Art Deco aesthetic is achieved through six different scenarios; colors and fabrics, ranging from yellow mustard, to red burgundy, green forest and blue sky become the backdrop to art and decorative objects fabricated by artisans in murano.

A outstanding combination of vintage pieces and contemporary furnishings give it a unique charm, rooms decorated with sumptuous velvet fabrics by Dedar and beautiful silks by Jim Thompson, bold patterned curtains, refined mirrors and iconic elements such as lamps by Fontana Arte and Flos.
