ICON OF STYLE: JUDE LAW

The charming British actor David Jude Heyworth Law, better known as Jude Law, was born in London in 1972. His professional career has seen him starred in several successful movies like Cold Mountain, Sherlock Holmes, Closer, The Holiday and The Talented Mr. Ripley. Moreover, Jude Law got a Bafta award, two Tony Award nominations, three Golden Globe nominations, two Academy Awards nominations, one for Best Actor and one for Best Supporting Actor.

His life as an actor began in 1987, when he begins to recite the National Youth Music Theatre, playing different roles that led him to make his debut on the big screen in 1994 with Shopping, with his future wife Sadie Frost. He acquires popularity interpreting Bosie Lord Alfred Douglas, Oscar Wilde‘s lover in the movie dedicated to the biography of the writer. The first widespread movie in which it participates is Gattaca – The door of the universe, but his fame exploded with his performance in The Talented Mr. Ripley, for which he received his first Oscar nomination. Later he toured several successful movies, including Perdition, Cold Mountain, The Aviator, All the King’s Men, until recently Spy and Black Sea.

Despite his several roles, only few films that played had a real influence on his personal style. Jude Law, out of the worldly life, loves to dress comfortable, but his strong personality is also reflected in his casual looks. Must-have of the actor are without doubt the accessories, especially the beanie, often gray, a color that he loves to wear. The beanie is usually combined with layering outfits: cotton  plain t-shirt, cashmere cardigan, leather jacket and long scarf. Even when his looks appear to be random and disordered, he looks like everything is studied in detail. Speech also valid in grooming, in fact, the hair of Jude, often disheveled, seem to be perfectly in styling.

When the occasion requires, Law knows how to dress with style and elegance, is in fact a fan of haute couture and tailoring, and in his clothes, always of high quality, he wants to feel comfortable, charming and chic. For special occasions, the actor chooses double-breasted blazers, which every time manages to look very appealing. His demeanor, the modern twist that can give even the most formal clothes and the ubiquitous pocket handkerchief make unique all his red carpet looks.
