US actor James Byron Dean was born in 1931 and died in 1955, he is a real cultural icon, whose fame has reached around the world.
James Dean, summarizes in his person the title of his most famous films: Rebel Without A Cause. Film in which he is a rebellious teenager, named Jim Stark. His incredible popularity stems from only three films in which he starred: East of Eden, Rebel Without a Cause and The Giant.
His childhood was marked by the death of his mother, in addition to the difficult and controversial relationship with his father, he was in fact raised by his uncles. His restless, ambitious and eccentric personality led him to passionately about theater. He studied acting, attended the Actors Studio and was chosen, at only 20 years old, to play the character of Cal Trask in the movie East of Eden. The doors of success were immediately opened and was soon regarded as a hero of America’s youth, the representative of his estrangement and misunderstanding: spokesman of a generation.

James Dean had a huge passion for cars and racing bikes, he, in fact, participated to various competitions and one of his most famous motto was: “Dream as if you could live forever, live as if you were to die today”.
Today, James Dean is recognized as a cultural and style icon, a character full of charm and fascination, which has affected behaviors and fashions around the world. It can also say that no one has contributed as much as he to defines what is still one of the most popular looks: jeans and t-shirt. Also the actor is part of the rock music culture, because it embodies the rebel and damn soul that characterizes it. Were many rock singers who paid homage to Dean: John Lennon declared that without James Dean, Beatles would never have existed, Morrissey dedicated a book entitled “James Dean is not dead” and many others. The style of James Dean was simple and practical, which reflected the times he were living: contrary to the conformism and social status.
