LOS ANGELES. Hamilton Behind The Camera Awards.

As we had already told you, we flew to Los Angeles withHamilton to attend the 7th edition of the “Hamilton Behind The Camera Awards”: paid tribute to the brilliant behind-the-scenes talents whose individual work has contributed to the quality of a motion picture and to the lasting impression that it has left on movie audiences.

When we watch a film we often tend to attribute all the credit to actors and directors, forgetting the many other who contribute to the success of the movie. To reward these figures and to reaffirm the strong connection with the world of cinema, Hamilton created the BTCA .

The event started with a long red carpet marched by the protagonists of the evening along with the many celebrities who awarded them.
Godmother of the nigh actress Elisabeth Rohm (known as the Serena on Law & Order ) and on stage with her to award the winners actor Joe Manganello ( Spiderman, One Tree Hill ..), the beautiful Zoe Saldana ( Neytiri , princess of the Na’vi in Avatar ), Sandra Oh ( Cristina on Grey’s Anatomy) and the legendary Lenny Kravitz.

On the Red Carpet we also met and talked with costume designer Michael Wilkinson, awarded for the costumes in “American Hustle”. Soon our interview will be available up on Timeframes.hamiltonwatch.com.

Great excitement when Haifaa Al Mansour, director of  “Wadjda”, went on stage. Haifaa, a woman of courage, told us the great difficulties she found in making a film in Saudi Arabia.

A big thank to Hamilton for having us in such a great event.

  1. Haifaa Al Mansour is a really brave woman and her movie is really touching. I’m really happy you had the chance to meet her because she is a symbol of woman freedom in her country and all around the world.
