Lena Dunham for Rachel Antonoff

Lena Dunham, the brilliant author of the cult series Girls, now on its third season on air, wrote and directed a mini movie for the Fall 2013 fashion campaign of NYC based designer Rachel Antonoff. The movie is in the style of a fake documentary on BFF, where the key elements of Girls are easily recognized: NYC, friendship, the poses of the actress (one is Dunham’s sister, already seen in Tiny Furniture), the silences, the directing style, the atmospheres…
The narrating voice is Adam Driver, Girls’ main character Hannah’s Prince Charming.
After being paid an outrageous amount of money for her upcoming book and now that Girls’ second series has finished, Lena keeps surprising her fans, giving them a movie that fells like a serie’s episode, yet it’s not!
The project is amazing, what else does a girl need other than beautiful clothes and friends? Mmmh, maybe chocolate?
If you like this kind of fashion films, I recommend the four mini movies on women for Miu Miu and the gorgeous “A Therapy” by Polanski for Prada. Enjoy!
