48 hours in Barcelona to preview the new Mercedes E-Class.
At the airport there was a Mercedes crew waiting for us, ready to be driven. I have to admit that, despite I’m not a great driver, I immediately felt the instinct to get in the car and start driving along the coast and the inland of Catalonia. We first stop at Penedès airfield where we experienced the new assistance systems such as the vehicles and pedestrians recognition system (see the video I did here), followed by a second break in Can Bonastre to meet more Mercedes experts.
Efficient, intelligent and emotional are the three adjectives by which Buhler, product management E-Class, has described the last star of Mercedes.
The E-Class in fact is a car that combines unusual fuel consumption for its segment, an incredible kit of tools to support the drive together with a breathtaking design. The new E-Class will be available from the convertible up to the station-wagon customizable with two different faces: Elegance and Avantgarde.
In the late afternoon we reached the Barcelona Mandarin Oriental Hotel for dinner. Now I can tell you, wanna move in a Mandarin hotel ASAP! 🙂
We dedicated the second day to the E63 AMG with a journey through the rugged mountains of the Montserrat. I’ve never experienced such a powerful car before but I got used to the AMG charm very quickly and now I’m ready to continue driving, but only if I’ll be able to find someone that won’t be scared to get in the car with me :).
Thank you Mercedes for the amazing experience!
