Like in Italy, the 1st of May is a public holiday even here in Spain. For this reason all the shops and museums were closed.  Due to this our programs were completely changed  butthis allowed us to see the city calmly.
The day began with a visit to Oeste park that hosts the temple of Debod (a gift from the Egyptian government to the city of Madrid) followed by a long walk along  Gran Via-Calle de Alcala-Paseo del Prado. Then we visited the Caixa Forum, a multipurpose space designed by the duo Herzog-de Meuron and the rainforest rebuilt within the Atocha train station. Then we moved into the area of Calle Serrano. The neighborhood is home to the city’s most fashionable boutiques, bars and restaurants.
Yesterday I went for a lightweight cashmere turtleneck under a suede jacket (the weather was very variable), cotton pants and Church’s loafers.
The note the color? The glasses that Burberry sent me before leaving for last summer holidays.
