As I already told you, I spent two days in Geneva to discover the wonderful world of IWC Schaffhausen watches. In these days Geneva is hosting the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), where the most important watch-makers introduce to the worldwide press and to their clients their exclusive products.
For this reason more than a thousand guests (including me) attended a great party to discover the new IWC Pilot's Watches collection. The event was hosted inside a perfectly rebuilt "aircraft carrier", a perfect location for a "Top Gun" inspired party. During the night I saw a lot of celebrities like Cate Blanchett (she is truly beautiful), Ewan McGregor (Phil and I adore him in "Down with Love"), Ronan Keating, Luis Figo and Zinedine Zidane and the supermodel Adriana Lima.
What an amazing night!
Come già vi avevo anticipato, ho trascorso due giorni a Ginevra alla scoperta del fantastico mondo dell' orologeria IWC Schaffhausen, noto brand svizzero famoso per la continua ricerca qualitativa alla base di un movimento meccanico di eccellenza. In questi giorni si tiene infatti a Ginevra il Salone Internazionale dell’Alta Orologeria (SIHH) dove i maggiori produttori di orologi di alta gamma presentano a stampa e a clienti internazionali le loro produzioni esclusive.
Proprio per questo motivo più di mille ospiti (me compreso) hanno partecipato ad una grandiosa festa per conoscere la nuova collezione di Pilot’s Watches IWC. L'evento si è svolto in una "portaerei" minuzionasamente ricostruita all'interno del Salone, perfetto sfondo per un party dal tema "Top Gun". Ho visto passare davanti ai miei occhi celebrities come Cate Blanchett (bellissima), Ewan McGregor (Io e Phil lo adoriamo in "Abbasso l'amore"), Ronan Keating, Luís Figo e Zinédine Zidane nonché la top model Adriana Lima.
Una serata davvero incredibile!
I visited the SIHH on Wednesday where I had the chance to see the most prestigious Watch- factories from close, and to go into the the fascinating world of IWC thanks to the kind Carlo Ceppi, IWC Italia Director.

Mercoledì ho poi visitato l'SIHH avendo la possibilità di vedere da vicino i più grandi marchi di orologi del mondo, e di addentrarmi grazie alla grande disponibilità di Carlo Ceppi, Direttore Generale IWC Italia, nell'affascinante mondo dell'orologeria IWC.
Al più presto le foto del salone e della nuova collezione Pilot's.

Your choice of a Dior suit is significant. It’s a "fashion house" with a refined and sophisticated world. And most of all, I really love its fashion designer : Kris Van Assche. He has an eye for details and aesthetic, he’s incredible.
And as « God is in the détails »… I notice, you wear your fabulous red Giacomorelli Pony Shoes :-) Amazing! It’s a really excellent choice because, associated with your suit, it gives you a "nonchalant elegance" in short, a very italian elegance.

ReplyDeleteThe party looked great as well, but I did not doubt it was a good one, hehe. What a chic detail, the IWC seal on the butter. Also, the food looks yummy!
Your outfit is awesome, although this is nothing new at all, hehe. I especially like that even though it looks classic, formal and elegant on the top mainly because of the bow tie, it looks more modern on the bottom with the skinny/slim fit pants; the Giacomorelli slippers definitely add the more "vanguardist" and different touch that make it look even more perfect.

Il party sembra molto carino! Ma una domanda... Perchè non avevi lo smoking ma un abito che da lontano lo sembrava? A questo punto non conveniva mettersi lo smoking? Non capisco.... Comunque ora mi informero di più sul marchio! Un saluto Roberto
ReplyDeleteSull'invito c'era scritto dress-code cocktail semplicemente perchè molta gente, arrivando direttamente dall'SIHH, non ha tempo di cambiarsi.
DeleteQuindi per agevolare le persone l'invito riporta questo tipo di dicitura.
Non volevo quindi risultare fuori luogo indossando uno smoking vero e proprio ( btw ho un vecchio smoking non bellissimo che devo assolutamente rifare) ma neanche un look da cocktail vero e proprio visto il tipo di festa che mi aspettava.
