GUCCI FALL-WINTER 2012-2013 FASHION SHOW

Photobucket

My first Gucci fashion show, once again great emotion. I know I'm a bit 'late in posting pictures of Milan fashion week, but the two days in Geneva Ielts test I did yesterday have really slowed slowed me down in the publication.
This has been the typical show you have to think of, that deserve to be understood calmly. Only looking at the pictures at home I could only find many details that I missed during the show. During the shaw I was delighted by the prefect fit of the outerwear and by the new very unusual luggage, apparently no logo.
What are your impressions?
Filippo

Filippo

  1. Lucky you, going to a Gucci show! =D

Totally love the vintage style lugagge and the tailored jackets, especially the green velvet one! In fact, I just bought a black velvet blazer by Carolina Herrera that is absolutely gorgeous =)

  4. Hi Filippo.

Gucci! One of the iconic italian brands.
However, I confess, since Tom Ford left Gucci I felt less and less attracted about Gucci. Yet, I was quite fascinated by this fashion show. Even if it wasn't my favorite because, as you know, I really loved Burberry fashion show. But, I acknowledge Frida Giannini's work and not only because she's Roman (I love Roman, they are fabulous) or because her dad is an architect ... Isn’t it Filippo?

First impression: it's clear, this fashion show confirms that Frida started in Gucci's accessories sector, especially handbags. They were particularly present in this fashion show and particularly well "worked" with luxurious' materials, such as alligator, or highly sophisticated, such as velvet jacquard decorated with baroque's patterns. Baroque, I think it was the keyword of this fashion show, there was a very baroque atmosphere but also very romantic, in brief : very dandy.

About clothes, again I note a choice of very worked materials: aged leather, silk prints, woven jacquards ... Other point, the cut of garments were very stylish and interesting detail, we found tight pants with riding style... Perhaps a tribute to Gucci's collections during the 30's, those who "did the lion's share" of horseback riding. These fashion show also highlights military style with the traditional pea coat, or the "bomber jacket". But, Frida was able to reinterpret, beautifully, those typical military's clothes, to please the dandy. Indeed, I realy love the use of double-breasted with gold button and, in this regard, I particularly like this beautifull jacket on the eighteenth picture.

I stop my comment here, because it's a bit too long... Again! In addition, my English is not excellent. Contrary to Filippo, who has certainly brilliantly passed the IELTS test.

    Have a good evening :-)

    Big hug :-*

(And don't forget, every blessed day, make a big hug to those you love and tell them, you love them.)
